Porky Blue Trail Cleanup and August 2 – Porky Blue Bike Ride

On the past two weekends we have done a lot of cleanup and trail fixing on the Porky Blue Trail. On Sunday we had seven volunteers rerouting the top steep section and rerouting around erosion ruts on the middle section. The entire route is nicely chain sawed and all the logs and overhanging brush is gone. Ready for the Porky Blue Ride on Saturday, August 2nd. So far over 30 riders have signed up and we will only guaranty a shuttle ride for the first one hundred that sign up. Can register at fernietrails.com or at The Guides Hut, downtown Fernie.
