FTA Kush Trail cleanup May 5

Grunt Work on Kushiest

Our FTA trail crew had our first official work party on Kush Trail last night (May 5). About 15 of us got the majority of the logging debris from this winter’s logging operations sawed up and cleaned off the trail. The trail tread was nicely preserved in almost all the operations area, many thanks to the Jemi Fibre crew who flagged the trail and the loggers carefully respecting the trail. We should have the Kush Trail completely cleaned up by next weekend, come out to the Thursday night work party on May 12.

Well earned beer time after the cleanup operations. Moment of silence and 15 can salute (courtesy of Fernie Brewery) was observed for a pet root that was removed from some other trail last week during a covert trail maintenance operation. Believed that it may be the same gang that killed a mosquito at the four fingers junction last year.
