Long Canyon 2
Ten of us rode the Long Canyon trail in Idaho the last weekend in September. This is an epic adventure ride and is only 2.5 hours from our doorstep. It is 27km long and best done as a shuttle. The trail is technical in spots and super flowey fun. The first downhill section seems to go forever with 40 some ride-able switchbacks. Here are a few pics of our day.
This is at the summit of Pyramid Pass, it is about a 450 meter climb from the shuttle drop off.
Maren on the decent, notice the ear to ear grin!
Al and Mark smoking it down hill.
Mitch at one of the creek crossings trying not to get his feet wet (woosey)!
Maren showing Mitch how real women cross creeks!
I never took many pictures, we were having too much fun. You’ll just have to go check this one out for yourselves. This is a ride you want to do late season, early in the season these creeks are swelled and would be very difficult to cross. Here is a video link of our ride from Mark Gallop at the Guides Hut: Long Canyon Helmet Cam
Cheers,
