Long Canyon Ride in Idaho

Rode the Long Canyon (Pyramid Peak) single-track in Idaho, just south of Creston last week. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive to the trail from Fernie and is well worth the trip. Get to shuttle 1000 vertical meters (1 hour shuttle), ride up 3 km for another 400 vertical meters and then descend 1450 meters over 27 kilometers on rolling “Class A” single-track with nearly 50 easy riding switchbacks. A must do ride close to Fernie for a late season adventure. We rode the Seven Summits in Rossland the same weekend and this is a much better ride. Both rides took us 5 hours including lunch breaks.
