Harvey Hut Rebuild Funding needs your comments
The FT&STC has a CBT funding application submitted to support the rebuild of the Harvey Pass warming hut. We will be placing a refurbished sea can at the most recent hut site with a wood stove, benches and a compostable toilet.
With the growth of backcountry activity and the isolation of Harvey Pass, a warming hut could save lives and make a nice base for backcountry recreation-both winter and summer. The Hut will be an official BC Recreation and Parks facility and be managed by the FT&STC.
We have requested funding through the CBT Community Initiatives program, here is the dollar request:

Comment on all the requested funding regions listed above (Area A, B & C, Fernie, Sarwood, Elkford) and identify the project by name “Harvey Warming Hut”.
