Canadian Tire supports Harvey Pass Hut

The Fernie Trails & Ski Touring Club is constructing a warming hut in Harvey Pass. This authorized BC Recreation Site will be open to all users.

Last week the local Canadian Tire store donated $2500 towards the Harvey Pass project. A huge thanks to Canadian Tire owner Angus McDonald for supporting this official BC Recreation Site shelter!

All funds will be used to pay for construction and outfitting materials, labour and management has been 100% volunteer.

The project got it this far with generous donations from Fernie businesses, and as much donated and discounted material as possible. But it’s not done yet! There is all the finishing touches needed to complete the build. Most notably the deck and it’s roof.

The Finish the Harvey Hut Indiegogo campaign is best for individual donations, we’ll take $10 donations. For individuals or businesses donating $250 or more download the sponsorship package here: Harvey Hut Corporate Sponsorship Package.

To date raised $12,000 has been raised, another $7000 would bring the hut to include insulation, finishing touches and amenities.
