This was a pretty cool moment...

Five past Presidents of the Fernie Snowmobile Association, together in one room, representing 35 years of organized snowmobiling in Fernie.

If you ask any of them, none ever set out to be President. They just cared about sledding here — and raised their hand when the community needed them. Most served four years or more, each leaving their mark in different ways.

What’s remarkable isn’t just what they accomplished with their Directors individually, but how each term built on the last wave — creating the club and riding experience we have today.

📷 Griz Pow Cam check: 45 cm of new snow on the stake this morning — and it’s still coming down. Another 10+ cm is in the forecast before midnight. 🤿

We know you’re watching and waiting too. The Rolling Hills webcam has been getting so many views that the bandwidth was throttled — we’ve increased capacity, so keep checking back.

Freezing level is still a bit uncertain, but we’re estimating it around 1300 m. The grooming crew is headed out today to assess conditions, start road building, and install the new webcam snow stake as well.

We’ll have more concrete details and an updated report later this afternoon. Stay tuned.
